Welcome to The Pennsylvania Governor's Schools of Excellence

Sponsored by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Governor's Schools of Excellence are five-week-long summer residential programs on college campuses committed to meeting the educational needs of artistically or academically talented high school students, including the gifted. The programs offer selected students from across the state the opportunity to explore and inform their creativity and intelligence. Select a program from the left menu to navigate its information. An emphasis is placed on leadership training, and students are encouraged to undertake service projects in local communities. Students are provided with career and college guidance and information about scholarship opportunities.
